La Poesía De La Comida
For this project a Spanish speaking country was chosen from which we would find a dish native to that country and recreate it. Along with the dish an ode was written in which the recipe or an ingredient in the recipe was honored. I decided to bake Dulce de Leche, a caramel like cream native to Argentina. Once I chose my dish I had to find a recipe and translate it into Spanish. After that, I worked on creating my ode, first I found words/phrases that described my dish for each of the five senses. Then, I wrote the actual ode and translated it into Spanish.

Reflection time: All in all I thought the project went really well, the exhibition came and went without any major hitches that couldn't be solved. Finding and creating the recipe was fun though if I were to do it again I would find a different recipe to go off of, one that is a bit more clear in the instructions. Another hard thing was trying do describe my dish without ever seeing it or tasting it in real life, most of what I wrote I had to infer based off of other peoples' descriptions about it. Though in the end, none of that mattered because my dish and ode came out far better than I was expecting.
